Before making the move to Los Angeles ten years ago, Jay lived and traveled over four continents throughout his childhood and adult life, and speaks French and Spanish fluently. Prior to being invited to join Pacific Union international in 2014 (formerly John Aaroe Group), he took on - early on in his real estate career - team leader roles at two top producing firms, managing small teams of agents upholding the utmost standards of communication and service for clients. Gil's rich corporate accounting background lends a key competitive edge to his business, providing substantiated research and thorough methodology to find properties as they enter the market and deliver the most comprehensive market analyses. Originally from the Philippines, Gilbert graduated with distinction earning a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from San Beda College in Manila, moving thereafter to the US to follow his dreams of “traveling, seeing the world and finding happiness.” He worked as a corporate accountant for fifteen years, starting at Ernst and Young and eventually becoming a senior accountant for investment companies in private equity and hedge funds at Coast Asset and Kayne Anderson in Los Angeles. His decision to transition into real estate was prompted by a desire for direct fulfillment as well as taking on a diversity of roles to fulfill his customers' needs.
